Primary School Teacher Polls: 130 Directors elected from dist.

Mysuru: A total of 130 Directors have been elected from 10 educational taluks of the district in the elections that were held for Karnataka State Primary School Teachers Association recently.

There are over 6,500 Primary School teachers in the district and more than 80 percent of them voted in the elections, which was contested by 350 teachers collectively. Every Director will represent 50 teachers.

Breakup of elected Directors in the District is as follows: Mysuru taluk-19, Mysuru South-2, Mysuru North-6, Nanjangud-22, T. Narasipur-15, Saragur-5, H.D. Kote-12, Hunsur-20, Periyapatna-15 and K.R. Nagar-14. The election to office-bearer posts at the Taluk, District and State-level will take place on Dec. 29.
