Primary School teachers stage protest

Mysuru: Demanding fulfilment of their demands, Government Primary School teachers, under the banner of Mysuru District Karnataka State Primary School Teachers Association, staged a demonstration in front of the DC’s office here yesterday. The demands included implementation of the recommendations of the Seventh Central Pay Commission, continuance of old pension scheme, establishment of an Elementary Education Board for Primary Education Development, introduction of LKG/UKG classes in all Government Schools and empowerment of Government Schools in the wake of present day challenges, among others.
