Private bus fares hiked

Mysore/Mysuru: Days after the State-owned KSRTC hiked bus fares, Private bus operators of the district have hiked bus fares with effect from today (Mar.10).

In  a press release, Mysuru District Private Bus Owners Association Hon. General Secretary Thayur Vittalamurthy said that the fares of private buses operating in Mysuru, Mandya and Chamarajanagar districts have been hiked with effect from today (Mar.10). The hike has become inevitable due to rising fuel prices and increase in the price of spare parts, hike in Insurance Premium and Toll rates.

The commuters are requested to co-operate by paying the hiked fares, he said.
