Mysore/Mysuru: An employee of a private company in Mumbai, who had come to city along with others to conduct pre-poll survey for national news channels, has gone missing under mysterious circumstances from city.

The missing person is 28-year-old Shivaraj. Axis My India Ltd., the Mumbai-based company which conducts Election Survey, had sent a six-member team, led by Shivaraj from its Bengaluru branch to conduct pre poll survey in Mysuru and Mandya. Accordingly, Shivaraj, along with his team members Anandkumar, P.S. Mallikarjun, Manjunath Beerappa Gode, Girish Nayak and Manjunath Hadapad arrived at Mysuru on Feb. 24 night and were staying at a lodge near KSRTC Bus Stand. On Feb. 25, the team conducted surveys at Chamaraja and Chamundeshwari Con-stituencies and on Feb. 26, the team left the lodge at 7.30 am to conduct surveys at Krishnaraja and Narasimharaja Constituencies. Team members assembled near Padma Talkies and left for their locations. At about 8.40 am, team member Anandkumar called Shivaraj’s mobile number only to receive the message that it was switched off. As Shivaraj could not be contacted nor his whereabouts traced till 12.30 pm, Anandkumar has lodged a missing complaint at K.R. Police Station.

Anandkumar told SOM that Shivaraj had said that he was from Davangere district to his team members but his Aadhaar card states that he is from Harihara. The release from the Police, states that Shivaraj had the tattoo of a lion on his left hand and the picture of a mother-child tattooed on his right hand.

Police sources said that Shivaraj left the lodge along with his bag and baggage on Feb. 26 and had told the lodge staff that he was vacating the room. The footages collected from the CCTV cameras at the lodge showed Shivaraj leaving the lodge along with his bags.  A team of Police from K.R. Police Station have left to Harihara to trace him but his (Shivaraj) mobile phone is still switched off, sources added.
