Property tax: Extend last date for availing rebate

April 22, 2021

Sir,

We have been reading in newspapers about the difficulties faced by property owners, especially senior citizens, in paying their property tax online, due to the faults in the system.

It is very difficult for senior citizens to visit the Mysuru City Corporation Office in person and stand in long queues to pay their property tax.

In view of this, it is earnestly requested that the faults be rectified at the earliest, so that the property owners could pay their property tax online in time, without having to visit the Zonal Offices of the Corporation. This would be of immense benefit to the property owners.

Last date for availing 5 percent rebate in payment of property tax may also be extended till such time the faults are rectified, as also due to the covid situation prevailing across the country.
