The Post Office Passport Seva Kendra (POPSK) located at Metagalli in Mysuru accepts online passport applications from the citizens but under the normal category only. The tatkal passport facility is not made available here but it is available only in a select few PSKs located in other cities across Karnataka. Thus one is compelled to travel to Bengaluru, only to avail the tatkal appointments.

It is suggested to provide the facility of tatkal passport appointments even at Mysuru POPSK. The same will be of immense benefit to the applicants without the need to travel to Bengaluru. The facility can be started-off on an experimental basis at Mysuru POPSK itself initially and then extend it to the other POPSKs located across Karnataka, based on the demand and popularity.

It is hereby suggested to the Regional Passport Office, Bengaluru, to initiate even the tatkal passport appointments facility at Mysuru POPSK.
