Public co-operation important for controlling COVID spread: DVS

Bengaluru: Former Union Minister and senior BJP leader D.V. Sadananda Gowda (DVS) yesterday said that Coronavirus control is not possible without public co-operation.

Speaking after distributing food kits for unskilled workers, he said that people support is most important to avoid spreading of COVID.

“Do not assume that infection control comes as soon as the Government enforces rules. Everyone should be cautious and follow safety measures including wearing mask, using sanitizer, social spacing and avoiding unwanted ones in your home,” he pointed out.

He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the country, Chief Minister Yediyurappa in Karnataka making serious efforts to control the situation of virus.

The Karnataka Government is preparing well in advance to face challenges of possible third wave as experts predicated, he added.
