Public frustrated over Kaveri 2.0 glitches

July 13, 2026

Mysuru: Property registrations at Sub-Registrar offices across the district have come to a standstill following technical snag in Kaveri 2.0 software, causing inconvenience to the public.

Property buyers and sellers have been spending hours at the offices, only to return home disappointed.

With Ashada month considered inauspicious for property transactions, people have been rushing to complete registrations beforehand. However, prolonged disruption has left many in the lurch.

Those in urgent need of funds for medical treatment, weddings, business ventures or other emergencies through the sale of their properties have been hit the hardest. For the past four to five days, many have been making repeated visits to Sub-Registrar offices, only to be told that registrations cannot be processed because of the server failure.

Members of the public allege that the Department of Stamps and Registration has failed to address the recurring problem, expressing frustration over the routine explanation that the delay is due to a server issue.

Frequent server disruptions at Sub-Registrar offices are not new and many questioned why a permanent solution has still not been found.

A.P. Nagesh, a prominent city realtor, said the Government should take immediate steps to ensure smooth functioning of Sub-Registrar offices, warning that repeated disruptions could result in substantial revenue loss to the State.

“Technology is advancing rapidly. If even today server-related issues cannot be resolved quickly, what else can people expect from the Government?” he asked.
