Pulse Polio campaign on June 28

The Health and Family Welfare Department will launch National Pulse Polio campaign in district on June 28. All children aged between 0-5 years will be administered Oral Polio Vaccine (OPV) on June 28 at dedicated Polio Booths set up across the city and district. In the next 2-3 days, health workers will undertake a door-to-door campaign visiting every household and administer OPV drops to all children aged under 5 years. Also, special campaigns will be undertaken at migrant workers dominated places, human habitats in  difficult terrains and those living in slums.

The Health Department has appealed the members of the public and parents to get their kids under 5 years administered with OPV.
