Mysore/Mysuru: Miscreants have stolen a purse containing cash and gold jewellery of a teacher, while she was climbing a bus and the purse sans gold and cash was found thrown on a platform at the bus stand.
The teacher, who lost her cash and jewels, is 35-year-old Shashikala, a resident of Srirampura, who is working as a teacher at Ibjala Government Primary School in Nanjangud taluk.
On May 13 afternoon, Shashikala along with her two children had come to city and later they went to City Bus Stand and were waiting for the bus to Srirampura. After the bus arrived at Udbur platform, they boarded the bus and sat down, during which Shashikala opened her vanity bag only to find the purse containing Rs. 500 cash, a gold finger ring weighing 10 grams and other items missing.
She immediately got down from the bus and searched for her purse in vain and later went to her home. At about 3.30 pm, Shashikala received a call on her mobile phone and the caller said that her purse was found and asked Shashikala to collect the same from the caller’s house at Choranahalli.
The teacher then left to Choranahalli and went to the caller’s house, who gave the purse to Shashikala. On inspecting the purse, Shashikala found photo copies of her Aadhaar Card and PAN Card and also her ATM Card and the receipt of the lost gold finger ring but the ring and Rs. 500 cash was missing.
In her complaint to Devaraja Police, Shashikala has not expressed any doubts on the caller, who returned her purse and has urged the Cops to initiate action on the thieves who had lifted her purse, while she was boarding the bus.
