Mysuru: AICC President Rahul Gandhi will address a poll rally at K.R. Nagar in the district on April 13.

Rahul will address the rally at the sprawling Government PU College ground in K.R. Nagar town at 5 pm and seek votes for Mandya LS seat coalition candidate Nikhil, son of CM H.D. Kumaraswamy and Mysuru-Kodagu LS seat candidate C.H. Vijayashankar, who is contesting on a congress ticket.

Rahul, who is scheduled to address poll rallies at Kolar and Chitradurga on the morning of April 13, will land at Mysore Airport in Mandakalli by a special flight at 4.30 pm, from where he will take off from a helicopter to K.R. Nagar and address the poll rally at 5 pm.

JD(S) Supremo and former PM H.D. Deve Gowda, CM H.D. Kumaraswamy, CLP leader Siddharamaiah and other top Congress and JD(S) leaders will be present. The K.R. Nagar Assembly segment forms part of Mandya LS seat, where Nikhil is contesting on a JD(S) ticket as the coalition candidate.
