April 10, 2017

Mysuru – Being dedicative and committed will fetch the desired results, said  Lalitha Kala Academy, New Delhi, Administrative Officer C.S. Krishna Setty.

He was speaking after receiving the Raja Ravi Varma Award presented to him by Sri Ravivarma Art Institute in association with the Department of Kannada and Culture   here yesterday.

Corruption has made strong roots in all departments and the presence of political power has dominated all departments. People are forced to identify themselves with one or the other political parties. But, the person, who recognises himself with or the other political parties must be clean and straight forward, he added.

Stating that the media was giving importance to negative news, he said that this is sending a wrong message to the people who believe that only bad things were happening around them.

Earlier, Prof. Aravind Malagatti of Kuvempu Institute of Kannada Studies, said that any reward must come on its own and added that the awards given by NGOs had more importance to the once given by the Governments.
