Mysore/Mysuru: Marking the 107th birth anniversary of late Suttur Mutt Seer Jagadguru Dr. Sri Shivarathri Rajendra Swamiji, the Mysuru Sharana Mandali conferred ‘Rajendra Sri Award’ to Karnataka Union of Working Journalists (KUWJ) President Shivananda Tagadur, Tax Consultant and social worker Krishnegowda and Religious Scholar Nataraj Jois, at a programme held at Patrakartara Bhavan here this morning.

Speaking on the occasion, MLA L. Nagendra said that Journalists, who are considered as the fourth pillar of democracy,  play a key role in correcting the wrongs of the society, through their reports and articles. Journalists and achievers from different fields should be lauded for their service, he added.
