Ramya to stay in Congress: Mother Ranjitha

Ramya to stay in Congress: Mother Ranjitha

April 4, 2017

Actor-turned politician Ramya’s mother Ranjitha has cleared all doubts regarding her daughter joining BJP by saying that the ex-MP would continue to be in the Congress party.

Ranjitha, who was canvassing in Nanjangud for Congress candidate Kalale Keshavamurthy yesterday told mediapersons that Ramya would continue to be in the Congress party and added that her daughter was unwell and hence unable to campaign for the by-polls in Nanjangud and Gundlupet.

Ever since S.M. Krishna, who is considered to be Ramya’s political mentor, resigned from the Congress party, there were rumours about Ramya also following her mentor to join BJP but with her mother clearing the doubts it is certain that the former MP will be in the Congress.

It may be recalled that the BJP activists in Mandya had threatened to commit suicide in case Ramya joined the party. The activists had clearly stated that they will not allow the former MP to join BJP.
