Rangayana to conduct diploma in theatre

Mysuru: Rangayana, Mysuru, has invited applications for two-year diploma course in acting affiliated to Hampi University. The two-year course will feature training in theatre activities in the first year and touring along with the unit throughout the State.

Candidates in the age group of 18-28 years and having passed PUC or equivalent course may apply for the same. Selected candidates will be given a stipend of Rs. 2,500 every month along with free lodging facilities.

The applications for the course will be available on www.rangayana.org from June 22 and the last date to submit the filled applications is July 4. Candidates must also pay application fee of Rs. 300 for general category and Rs. 150 for SC/ST, Category 1 in the form of DD drawn in favour of Director, Rangayana, Kalamandira premises, Vinoba Road, Mysuru-570005.  Candidates can either submit the applications in person or send to through speed post.  Interview for the selection of candidates will be held on July 6 and 7 at Rangayana premises for which the students must come in their own expenses.

The results will be announced on July 10. Admission for selected candidates will be done on July 15 and the course will commence on July 20. For details contact Ph: 0821 2512639.
