Rathotsava: No entry for devotees

April 1, 2021

As a large crowd is expected to gather for Sri Mahabaleshwara Swamy Rathotsava to take place atop Chamundi Hill on Apr.3, Deputy Commissioner Rohini Sindhuri, as a COVID-19 precautionary and safety measure, has barred entry of devotees for the Rathotsava on Apr.3. The Jathra will take place in a simple and symbolic manner. However, the customary rituals associated with the Jathra will be conducted inside and outside the temple in the presence of priests and temple staff by following Government SOPs.
