Registration mandatory for dog breeding

Mysore/Mysuru: The Member-Secretary of Karnataka Animal Welfare Board in a press release has informed that those individuals, institutions, local bodies engaged in dog breeding, selling or pet shop activities must compulsorily register under Karnataka Animal Welfare Board’s Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act — Dog Breeding and Cattle Market Rules 2017 and Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (Pet Shop) Rules, 2018 Section 3, 4 and 5.

Hence, the above concerned must fill Form-1 within 30 days  and pay the prescribed fees at the Office of Deputy Director of Karnataka Animal Welfare Board or at the Office of the Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services on Dhanvantri Road in city.
