Registration of land in fake man’s name: Rammanahalli Village Assistant Siddaiah dismissed from service

Mysore/Mysuru: Tahsildar K.R. Rakshith, on Aug. 31, has issued an order dismissing Rammanahalli Circle’s Village Assistant Siddaiah from service for getting 4.04 acre land worth crores of rupees in Survey No. 244 registered in the name of a fake person, by creating fake documents.

One S. Sampath Kumar, son of Sundar Raj, a resident of N.R. Mohalla had lodged a complaint at N.R. Police Station stating that Lakshmamma, Susheelamma, Manchappa, Suresh and others had created a fake ‘Gift Deed’ and had got their land measuring 4 acre and 4 guntas on Survey No. 244 at Kesare, registered at the Sub-Registrar’s Office.

The Police had registered a case under IPC Section 417, 419, 420, 465 and 471 r/w 34 and had arrested Village Assistant Siddaiah on Aug. 19 at about 5.30 pm. Accused Siddaiah was remanded to judicial custody till Aug. 27.

The Tahsildar’s order states that Siddaiah had confessed before the Police that he along with other accused had created fake documents and had got the said land registered in the name of a fake person at Mysuru North Sub-Registrar’s Office.

Siddaiah, who was arrested on criminal charges and remanded to judicial custody, has been dismissed from service as per the Government Order (No. RD-3, MVS 77, dated 16.09.1978) with effect from Aug. 31, the Tahsildar’s order further stated. 

N.R. Police, who have arrested the remaining accused, are continuing with their investigation.
