MCC launches voter list revision: Drive to go on till Nov. 8

Special drive on four Sundays: Nov.7, 14, 21, 28

Mysore/Mysuru: In a fresh push for inclusion of new eligible voters and to carry out voter list revision in its limits, the Mysuru City Corporation (MCC), as per the directions of the Election Commission of India (ECI), has launched voter inclusion and voter list revision  drive in the three Assembly segments of the city — Chamaraja, Narasimharaja and Krishnaraja. This exercise which began on Aug. 9 will go on till Nov.8, 2021.

During the drive, BLOs (Booth-Level Officers) will visit every household and check for the correctness of the voter list. Youths, who will attain the age of 18 years as on Jan.1, 2022, can apply for inclusion. 

Following the inclusion of new names and revision of voter list, the MCC will publish the draft voter list on Nov.8, 2021. Besides, the electoral rolls revision will continue at the polling booths on all working days from 10 am to 5.30 pm from Nov. 8 to Dec. 8, 2021. 

During the drive, citizens can fill up Form No.6 for inclusion of new names, Form 7 for deletion of names in voter list, Form 8 for any corrections regarding address and other details and Form 8-a for change of address.

Newly eligible voters can also apply online (www.nvsp.nic.in)  along with supporting documents. The special voter revision drive will be conducted on four Sundays (Nov.7, 14, 21 and 28), during which the voters can submit their applications to the assigned poll staff at their respective polling booths.
