Restore Pattabhirama mural painting in Palace premises

November 2, 2021

Sir,

I would like to draw the attention of the authorities concerned to restore the mural of Pattabhirama in the premises of Mysore Palace. There is a painting of Pattabhirama on the wall facing Ambujavalli shrine to the right of entrance to Shweta Varahaswamy temple in the Palace premises calling for revival.

It is indeed laudable that the authorities have taken up revival of paintings in the temple area. It is learnt that this particular mural is not in the list of paintings sought to be revived.

Can we hope that the authorities look at this mural adorning the west wall of the temple premises and take steps as necessary for its conservation?
