Mysore/Mysuru: The monthly premium for Retired Police Officers Health Scheme, has been increased, according to Press Secretary of Retired Police Officers Welfare Association Chamaiah.
Following the increase in reimbursement of medical expenses provided to retired Police Officers, effective from November 2025, the Central Committee Meeting of Health Scheme Trust, held at the office of DG and IGP in Bengaluru on Oct. 30, 2025, decided to increase the premium.
According to the revised amount, for normal ailments, the reimbursement has been increased from Rs. 1 lakh to Rs. 1.5 lakh and for complex diseases – Rs. 2 lakh to Rs. 3 lakh.
The monthly premium has been hiked accordingly; Dy.SP and above – from Rs. 3,600 to Rs. 4,800, Police Inspector and Police Sub-inspector – Rs. 3,000 to Rs. 4,200, Head Constable- Rs. 2,400 to Rs. 3,000 and Police Constable – Rs. 1,800 to Rs. 2,400, Writers – Rs. 3,000 to Rs. 3,600 and Attendants and Band Staff – Rs. 1,800 to Rs. 2,200.
