Retired SP Hanumantharayappa passes away

Mysore/Mysuru: A.S. Hanumantharayappa (70), retired Superintendent of Police, who had served as a Police Officer in Mysuru city and district for more than 15 years, passed away on Oct. 25 in Bengaluru.

He leaves behind his wife, one son, one daughter and a host of relatives and friends.

Hanumantharayappa, who joined the Police force in 1981 as a Sub-Inspector (SI), had served in Vidyaranyapuram, Krishnaraja, V.V. Puram and K.R. Traffic Police Stations of city, later served as Chamarajanagar DySP and as Lokayukta SP, before retiring from service.  

Last rites were performed at Banashankari Crematorium in Bengaluru yesterday, according to family sources.
