Revenue Department recommends action against KAS officer

Mysuru: The Revenue Department has instructed the Mysuru Regional Commissioner to take disciplinary action against KAS officer Naveen Joseph for dereliction of duty.

Charging Naveen Joseph of violating the Land Reforms Act when he was earlier the Nanjangud Tahsildar, the Revenue Department Principal Secretary has directed the Regional Commissioner at Mysuru, to initiate disciplinary action against him.

Naveen Joseph while serving as Nanjangud Tahsildar, was accused of violating the Land Reforms Act in connection with disposal of land in Immavu village Survey No. 424 coming under Chikkayyanachatra Hobli in Nanjangud taluk.

The then DC, who looked into the matter, submitted a report to the Government in this regard and based on the findings of the report, the Revenue Department Under-Secretary K.R. Ravikumar wrote to the Regional Commissioner on Oct. 28 directing to take action against Naveen Joseph, it is learnt.
