Revenue Minister cancels DC’s ‘Spandana’ for now

November 30, 2020

Mysore/Mysuru: Following the ongoing spat between elected representatives and Mysuru Deputy Commissioner (DC) Rohini Sindhuri, Revenue Minister R. Ashok this morning cancelled the ‘Spandana’   programmes by the DC which was aimed at addressing the revenue issues.

Speaking to press persons, Minister Ashok said, “I have met and spoke to the DC yesterday and I have instructed her to ensure that Legislators are invited for inauguration of Spandana events without fail. I have also advised her on how to conduct with them.”

“For now, ‘Spandana’ events have been called off. In future also, we will organise such events and people’s problems will be heard. Guidelines are being prepared for organising such events. I agree that cancellation of the events is not in favour of people, but I assure that such cancellations will not happen in the future,” he added.
