Rider dies after hitting cow

Mysuru:  A rider, who had sustained serious head injuries after hitting a cow near Ganapati Temple on KRS Road here yesterday, died at the hospital after failing to respond to the treatment.

The deceased has been identified as Satish (25), a resident of Mellahalli village in Srirangapatna taluk. Satish was proceeding near the Ganapati Temple between Maidanahalli and Yelwal on KRS Road when a cow suddenly came in the middle of the road. Unable to control the bike, Satish reportedly hit the cow and fell down resulting in him sustaining serious head injuries.

Though Satish was rushed to a hospital, he breathed his last after failing to respond to the treatment. Yelwal Police have registered a case in this regard.
