Rider killed after ramming bike into electric pole

Mysore/Mysuru: A two-wheeler rider was killed on the spot while pillion rider sustained injuries after the bike hit the roadside electric pole in Mysuru Rural Police limits on Friday night.

The deceased has been identified as Manoj (24), a resident of Srirampura Layout in Nanjangud and the injured is Akash, both construction workers.

After finishing work, Manoj and Akash were proceeding on their bike near APJ Abdul Kalam Residential School for Minorities at Dodda Kanya village, when the rider lost control of the bike and rammed it into a roadside electric pole killing Manoj on the spot and injuring Akash. Injured Akash has been admitted to a private hospital in city. Mysuru Rural Police have registered a case.
