Rider killed as KSRTC bus rams into bike

Mysuru: A two-wheeler rider was killed on-the-spot when a KSRTC bus rammed into the bike he was riding near MUDA Circle on JLB Road here yesterday morning.

The deceased is Ravi (23), a resident of Mahadevapura near J.P. Nagar in city, who was working as a labourer.

Yesterday morning, Ravi was proceeding from Kautilya Circle towards MUDA Circle when the KSRTC bus which came from Metropole Circle side rammed into the bike near MUDA Circle junction resulting in Ravi suffering from serious head injuries and breathing his last on-the-spot, according to the Police.

A case has been registered at K.R. Traffic Police Station.

Defunct Traffic Signal

Though there is a traffic signal light at MUDA Circle, it is not working since many months which has resulted in haphazard movements of vehicles causing accidents. The public have urged the authorities concerned to get the traffic signal light repaired at the earliest.
