May 3, 2026

Mysore/Mysuru: A two-wheeler rider was killed on the spot when a tipper lorry allegedly ran over him at Bogadi Outer-Ring Road Junction last evening.

The deceased has been identified as Manjunath (45) of Maratikyathanahalli, who was                               working at a bar.

Manjunath was riding his bike from Hinkal side towards Bogadi, when a tipper coming in the opposite direction brushed past his bike’s handle resulting in Manjunath falling to his right side and the rear wheels of the tipper ran over his head killing him on the spot.

K.R. Traffic Police Inspector P. Mahadevaswamy, ASIs Ganesh, Ashwini and staff, who reached the spot, conducted an inspection besides registering a case.

Following the accident, traffic on the Outer-Ring Road was disrupted for some time. The Police got the tipper vehicle cleared from the road and made way for smooth flow of traffic.
