Rider killed as two scooters collide

Mysore/Mysuru: A two-wheeler rider, who had sustained serious injuries in a collision between two scooters, has succumbed to injuries at a private hospital in city.

The deceased is Manjunath (21), a student from Hunsur. Those injured are 21-year-old Ganesh of Chamarajanagar, classmate of Manjunath and another two-wheeler rider Vijay Kushalappa.

On Mar. 10 at about 10.40 pm, Manjunath, with Ganesh riding pillion, was proceeding on his Honda Dio scooter (KA-54-Q-2690) from Surya Bakery towards Vijayanagar Water Tank when Kushalappa, who too was riding a scooter (KA-09-HY-2718) rammed into the scooter Manjunath was riding while trying to overtake a car near Indira Nursing Home, resulting in all the three sustaining injuries.

Manjunath, who had sustained more injuries, was admitted to a private hospital, where he breathed his last.

V.V. Puram Traffic Police have registered a case.
