Rider’s fatal fall into canal

Bettadapura: A bike rider, who lost control of the bike, rammed it into a retaining wall and fell into a canal along with the bike and died at the outskirts of Hasuvinakaval village in Periyapatna taluk.

The deceased is Mani (27), a resident of Doddabyalalu village in the taluk. Mani had married Sahana of Kolimane village a year back.

Mani was proceeding on his bike to bring his wife from her parents’ house in Kolimane village. 

While he was proceeding on Bettadapura Main Road, he lost control of the bike and hit the retaining wall of the canal, which was dug for Karadilakkana Kere Lift Irrigation Project and fell into the canal along with the bike and died. Sub-Inspector Lokesh visited the spot. Post-mortem was conducted at Periyapatna Taluk Hospital and the body was handed over to his family members. 

Bettadapura Police have registered a case.
