H. D. Kote:  In a ghastly road accident, the riders of two motorcycles were killed on the spot, while a pillion rider on one of the motorcycles  sustained serious injuries, in a head-on collision on H.D.Kote-Hunsur road late last night.

The deceased have been identified as Ubaid (24), a native of Kerala and Kantharaju(28) of Hassan, while the injured pillion rider, identified as Diwakar of Hassan, has been admitted to NIMHANS Hospital in Bengaluru.

 The bike riders Ubaid and Kantharaju were travelling in opposite directions late on Thursday night, when their motorcycles collided head on near Annur Bheemanahalli on H.D. Kote-Hunsur Road, killing Ubaid and Kantharaju on the spot and leaving Diwakar, who was riding pillion on the motorcycle ridden by Kantharaju, seriously injured.

Additional SP P.V. Sneha and Hunsur DySP Sundar Raj visited the spot.

H.D.Kote Police have registered a case in this regard.
