Riding on the wrong way!

August 9, 2020

Sir,

It is quite interesting to see that people are forgetting the basic road safety rules and finding new ways to reach their destinations.

Riding or driving in the wrong way on the wrong side against the flow of the traffic became quite common in the city and many other parts of the country. Besides this, people are also inventing ways and means to reach their desired places.

I have recently seen in the city a two-wheeler rider riding between the traffic signal pole and the Traffic Police kiosk (see photo) to reach his destination, instead of parking on the side road and reaching the place by foot.

This type of sudden turns disrupts the flow of the traffic and also may lead to accidents.

Riders and drivers need to use their wisdom and focus on road safety for self and other road-users while on the road.
