Two Mysureans sustain injuries

Mysore/Mysuru: Two persons from city have sustained injuries in a road accident near Ramanagar  yesterday morning.

Those injured are Vimala and her daughter Apoorva, residents of Siddarthanagar in city, who are undergoing treatment at a private hospital in city.

Vimala and Apoorva, who had been to the Art of Living Centre near Channapatna to attend Shivaratri puja, were proceeding towards Mysuru in their car, when it rammed into the barricade in front of a Church near Ramanagar at about 2.30 am.

Vimala, speaking to SOM, said that she was driving the car and her daughter was seated in the rear seat.

“I only know that a vehicle zipped past my car at a high speed and when I opened my eyes I saw people taking me out of the car. I do not know what happened between this. Maybe I lost control of the car when the vehicle passed my car and hit the barricade. I am not injured that much but my daughter has sustained injuries,” she said.

Ramanagar Police have towed my car, Vimala added.
