For nearly a decade, I have been a regular reader of Star of Mysore eveninger, and I particularly appreciate the ‘Voice of the Reader’ column, which brings public concerns and grievances to light — issues that genuinely deserve everyone’s attention.

Around six months ago, an article was published about the poor condition of the road near Automotive Axles Limited. I use this stretch for my daily commute, and unfortunately, the road remains in a deplorable state.

The photos I took yesterday clearly show how the recent rains have further worsened the situation, creating large potholes that pose serious challenges and risks to commuters.

The stretch from the BEML Factory to Hootagalli Signal is in an alarming state of disrepair. It is deeply concerning to recall that just 2 – 3 months ago, a   Government employee tragically lost her life due to the hazardous condition of this very road. I fear more such incidents may occur if immediate steps are not taken.

As a responsible citizen, I urge the authorities concerned to take swift and effective action to reconstruct this road using high-quality materials to ensure long-term safety and durability.
