Rotary Ivory City to honour ‘Best Police Constables’ tomorrow

Four ‘Best Police Constables’ of Mysuru City including a  lady Police Constable serving under Law & Order and  Crime & Traffic will be honoured by Rotary Ivory City Mysuru at a function to be held on Feb. 22 at Hotel Casa Clarks Inn, Hunsur Road, at 7 pm.  They will be feted for their distinguished services by City Police Commissioner Dr. A. Subramanyeshwara Rao.

Profiles

  1. Mahadevaswamy (Law & Order), who joined the Department in 2002, is currently posted at Lashkar Police Station. He has used exemplary diplomacy in dealing with all religions and faiths and has convened ‘Peace Seminars’ to ensure harmony during festivals and religious ceremonies with alacrity.
  2. Mahadeva (Crime) joined in 2002 and  now posted at Narasimharaja Station. In 2016, he detected thefts totalling to Rs. 47 lakh — inclusive of gold jewellery, cars, two-wheelers, mobile phones, laptops etc.  In his previous posting at Vidyaranyapuram, he served in Crime branch, efficiently.
  3. Basavaraju (Traffic) joined the Department in 2000 and  is currently posted  at Siddarthanagar Police Station. In the last 5 years, he is engaged in traffic disposal planning. He has used his expertise in controlling traffic around Mysuru Zoo and assisted visitors in orderly parking.
  4. Shobha joined the Department in 2005  and now posted at Nazarbad Station. She has exhibited keen interest in documentation and office administration. She has also earned good name for her disposition to aggrieved women approaching Police, rendering medical attention and for being empathetic to their needs.
