Rotary Ivory City is 100% Paul Harris Fellows Club

Mysore/Mysuru: Rotary Ivory City, Mysuru, has been officially declared a 100 percent Paul Harris Fellows Club by Rotary International.

Named after a former President of the Rotary Foundation, Rotarians are encouraged to become Paul Harris Fellows (PHFs) by contributing USD 1000 to the Foundation which will in turn be used to fund service projects of Rotary International across the world.

Rotary Ivory City, which was started in 2015, has 41 members including 18 lady Rotarians. At Samarpan, the Rotary Foundation seminar held at Mangaluru in November 2022, Rotary Foundation Trustee Rtn. PRID Dr. Bharath Pandya congratulated the Club and released the Club’s flag.

Rtn. Dr. Soorya Narayan, DRFC, Rtn. Prakash Karanth, District Governor, Rtn. PDG. Krishna Shetty, Rtn. Past AG Sunil Baliga, AG Rtn. S. Balachandar and TRFC Rtn. M. Perumal were present on the occasion.

Under Global Grants of the Rotary Foundation, Ushakiran Eye Hospital has screened 35,199 children, provided glasses to 976 children, conducted eye operation on 51 children and treated 284 patients with laser treatment for Diabetic Retinopathy.

Under District Rotary Foundation Grants, the Club has provided drinking water facility and renovated classroom at a Government Lower Primary School, Maradi Hundi in T. Narasipur taluk and established a Biology Lab for Sri Satya Saibaba High School in Jayalakshmipuram,  Mysuru.
