Rotary Midtown confers ‘Amaravani’ award on Dr. B.S. Parvatharaju

Mysuru: ‘Amaravani’ award, instituted by Rotary Club of Mysore Midtown in memory of M.G. Nanjundaradhya, was conferred on Dr. B.S. Parvatharaju, retired Principal, Marimallappa PU College, at a function organised by the Club at Rotary Hall on JLB Road here  recently. The award was presented to Parvatharaju by N.S. Taranath, retired Kannada Professor, Kuvempu Institute of Kannada Studies (KIKS).

Speaking on the occasion, Taranath lauded Parvatharaju for organising Sanskrit learning camps at various places in the State to make the youth aware of Sanskrit language. He added that Parvatharaju was associated with many language institutes across the country and has won several awards instituted by various organisations. Rotary Mysore Midtown President Dr. K.A. Prahlad, Secretary M.P. Gopalakrishna and others were present.
