Royal domes to shine bright…

September 7, 2017

Palace electricians are seen replacing old and fused bulbs of the magnificent domes of the Mysore Palace this morning ahead of Navaratri celebrations from Sept. 21. Every year, about 50,000 bulbs are replaced with new ones. The Palace is fitted with more than 98,000 plus bulbs. The illuminated Palace is one of the main attractions during Dasara. Picture below shows the Albert Victor Road between Jayachamaraja Wadiyar Statue and Chamaraja Wadiyar Statue that was illuminated last evening on a trial basis by Dasara Illumination Sub-Committee.
