RSS worker’s murder: MLA Suresh Kumar demands peace meeting in Bantwal

July 12, 2017

Mysuru: Even as Chief Minister Siddharamaiah has ruled out the National Investigation Agency (NIA) probe into the murder of RSS worker Sharath Madivala in Bantwal, former Minister and MLA Suresh Kumar took umbrage and charged that the CM and Dakshina Kannada District in-charge Minister B. Ramanath Rai should have held a peace meeting immediately, instead of playing vote bank politics.

Addressing the media at Patrakarthara Bhavan here this morning, he said that the State Government has completely failed in maintaining law and order in the State. Instead of making political speeches and making allegations against BJP leaders, it should have taken action against the culprits, he said.

Questioning the role of Kempaiah, Advisor to the Home Ministry, Suresh Kumar said that he (Kempaiah) should stick to the role of advising the Home Minister, instead of interfering in issues not directly concerned with him. By his interference Kempaiah has demoralised the top brass of the Police, who are fully capable of handling any situation.

“We will wait for two more days and if the government does not act then we have to take a decision to stage protests,” he warned. State BJP Minorities  President Abdul Kareem, City BJP President Dr. B.H. Manjunath, Kodagu District General Secretary Ravi  Kushalappa and Corporator Nandeesh Preetham were present.
