RTO offices need to gear up

July 1, 2018

Sir,

This is in reference to the letter by Vijayakumar (SOM dated June 20) and the inordinate delay by RTO, Mysuru, in issuing vehicle documents. I have submitted vehicle ownership transfer papers of a car to RTO, Mysuru (West) on 26th March 2018.  The transfer is sought from my father’s name to my mother’s name. I was also instructed to furnish a self-addressed and stamped envelope for the same.

It is already three months and I am yet to receive the respective vehicle documents after the transfer. I have approached the concerned people and called them twice, but I am met with a casual attitude of disdain. The RTO offices truly need to spruce up their services, their staff and their attitudes.

– Sujit Padival, Mysuru, 21.6.2018
