Rukmini Madegowda decides to petition SC

Mysore/Mysuru: More than a week after the Karnataka High Court annulled her election from MCC Ward 36 (Yaraganahalli & Ambedkar Colony), Rukmini Madegowda of the JD(S), who lost her Office as City Mayor on account of the Court verdict, has decided to move the Supreme Court seeking  a stay on the HC order.

Rukmini told Star of Mysore that she had accepted the  May 26 High Court verdict with honour. However, she would soon petition the Supreme Court seeking an urgent stay on the HC order with the MCC announcing a date (June 11) for fresh Mayoral election, she said.
