Mysore/Mysuru: The sixth edition of the S. Ramanathan Memorial Inter-High School English and Kannada debate competition-2022 was organised by Sri Sharada Public School at its premises in R.T. Nagar here yesterday.

In the English debate contest, M.C. Sharanya and Arnav Singavi of Excel Public School bagged the first and third prize respectively to also win the Rolling Shield for their school. Pradyumna Bhat of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan school bagged the second place.

K.S. Ridhishree of Orchid Public School, S. Kiran Kumar of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan and M. Prarthana of JSS Public School (JPNagar) bagged the first, second and third place respectively in Kannada debate. The Rolling Shield was bagged by Orchids Public School.

Earlier S. Achuta, Chartered Accountant, who was the chief guest, called upon the students to learn to handle failures and make it a stepping ladder to success.

Secretary of the Institution R.M. Srivatsa presided. Students from 21 schools in the city participated.
