Safety March to mark 48th National Safety Day tomorrow

Mysuru:  The 48th National Safety Day will be celebrated at J.K. Grounds in city under the joint aegis of Karnataka State Safety Institute, Bengaluru (Department of Factories, Boilers, Industrial Safety and Health), National Institute of Personnel Management (NIPM), Mysuru Chapter, Nanjangud Industries Association (NIA), Nanjangud and National Safety Council, Karnataka Chapter.

AT&S India Ltd. Managing Director Robert Grobbauer will inaugurate the Safety March at 7.45 am tomorrow. Principal District and Sessions Court Judge S.K. Vontigodi will hoist the National Safety Flag at 9 am.

A Public Programme will be held at the Platinum Jubilee Hall at 10 am. Judge S.K. Vontigodi will deliver the keynote address. President and Whole Time Director of Automotive Axles Limited Dr. N. Muthukumar will preside over the event.

Head of Metering and Protection Division, L&T Ltd., Mysuru Amit Kumar, Triveni Engineering and Industries Ltd. CEO Rajeev Rajpal and AT&S India Ltd. MD Robert Grobbauer will be the guests.

Department of Factories, Boilers, Industrial Safety and Health Additional Director – Industries B.V. Ravikumar will be the guest of honour.

Safety Quiz: Following are the prize winners of Safety Quiz organised on Feb.15 in connection with the National Safety Day: BEML Engine Division (Kiran Kumar and C.A. Uthappa) – 1st prize; Reckitt and Benckiser India Pvt. Ltd., Mysuru (Bhaskar and Mohammed Afsar) – 2nd prize; Automotive Axels Ltd., Mysuru (Divakar Shama Naidu and Rangaswamy) – 3rd prize.

Safety Skit: Following are the prize winners of Safety Skit Contest organised on Feb.22 in connection with the National Safety Day: RANE (Madras) Ltd. (T. Yogananda, R. Ananda, Thamme Gowda, M. Vinod Kumar and B. Manasa) – 1st prize; Cyient Unit 1 (Mallesh, Basavaraj, Nandini, Mahadev, Manjunath) – 2nd prize; Automotive Axels Ltd. (Srinivas, Chandru, Umesh, Hiremath and Somashekara) – 3rd prize.
