Sandal Urus Shariff of Hazarath Nawab Hyder Ali Khan Bahadur held

Mysore/Mysuru: The 246th annual Sandal Urus Shariff of Hazarath Nawab Hyder Ali Khan Bahadur, organised by Hazarath Tipu Sultan Shaheed Welfare & Urus Committee Organising Secretary Afroz Pasha, was held in city recently.

Lecture on Azmath Hyder Ali was held at Meelad Bagh on Ashoka Road, followed by mass feeding to devotees. Earlier, the programme began with recital of verses from the Holy Quran by Hazarath Moulana Mohd. Younus Raza Subhani Hydarie, Secretary of Majlees Ulma Ahle Sunnath Jamath. Nath Shariff – Phrases of Prophet Muhammad, was read by Sofi Syed Manzoor Ahmed Noorie. Alhaj Mirza Jamsheed Baig Ashrafi, social worker anchored the programme.

After Duwa, Fatha Khawni, Darud Salam were performed. Afroz Pasha carried the sandal paste vessel to Tipu Tomb at Srirangapatna in the evening.

Shamsh-ul-Huda Samadi, Chief Qazi of Darul Qaza Masjid Azam, Moulana Mufti Musthaq Ahmed Makbuli of Khateeb Dargahi Masjid, Hazarath Moulana Sofi Syed Mukthar Ahmed Noorie Miyan, Chairman of Tippu Sultan Academy, Mysuru, Hazarath Sofi Wali Baba from Bengaluru, Dr. Sufi Arif Hussain Warsi and others spoke on the occasion.

Dr. Mehboob Khan Saheb of Rehaman Bone Centre in K.R. Nagar, Tippu Sultan Wakf Estate Vice-Chairman Asif Sait, Secretary Irfan, Member Iqbal Pasha, Hazarath Moulana Mohd. Inayath-ur-Rehaman Razvi, Shahi Imam of Masjid Aqsa, Tippu Tomb, Bannimantap Educational and Welfare Trust Vice-President S.K. Mudassir Pasha, Trustees Syed Masood, Corporator Basheer Ahmed, Avaiz Pasha, Majid Toufiq Khan, Gen. Secretary of NSUI, Khwaja Mohammed Musheer Chishti, President of Chishtiya Foundation Group, Mysuru and others were present.
