Muzrai Department has organised ‘Saptapadi’ mass marriage ceremony atop Chamundi Hill on Mar. 15 from 11 am to 12 noon. A total of 16 couples are going to tie knot on this occasion. District In-charge Minister S.T. Somashekar will inaugurate the ceremony. MLA G.T. Devegowda will preside. Mayor Rukmini Madegowda, Zilla Panchayat President Parimala Shyam, MPs V. Sreenivasa Prasad, Pratap Simha and Sumalatha Ambarish, MLAs Tanveer Sait, S.R. Mahesh, S.A. Ramdas, K. Mahadev, L. Nagendra, Harshavardhan, Dr. Yatindra, Ashwinkumar, C. Anilkumar and H.P. Manjunath and MLCs Marithibbegowda, Sandesh Nagaraj, R. Dharmasena, K.T. Srikantegowda, K.V. Narayanaswamy and other dignitaries will be present as chief guests, according to a release.
