Schools must celebrate IDY: DDPI

Mysore/Mysuru: The Department of Public Instruction has directed all the schools in the State to compulsorily celebrate International Day of Yoga (IDY) on June 21.

Speaking to Star of Mysore this morning, Deputy Director of Public Instruction (DDPI) Ramachandraraje Urs said that following directions from the Government, all the 3,363 schools in the State have been asked to compulsorily celebrate IDY by performing Yogasanas. “Schools have been asked to conduct only morning classes on June 21 and pending classes should be completed by holding full day classes this Saturday (June 25),” the DDPI said.
