Scooter-borne youths waylay student, snatch mobile phone

Mysore/Mysuru: Three youths, triple riding on a scooter, waylaid a student on Temple Road in Vinayakanagar and have snatched his mobile phone.

The student, who lost his mobile phone, is 19-year-old G. Arjun, a native of Yaliyur village in Gundlupet taluk, who was pursuing his PU course at the Government PU College at Vontikoppal and was staying in a hostel at Bogadi here.

On June 28 at about 4 pm, Arjun left the College on his bike (KA-10-EE-8498) and was proceeding on the Temple Road, when three youths, identified as Guru and Akash of Paduvarahalli and Mahesh of Vontikoppal, who came triple riding on Honda Dio scooter (KA-09-HX-2834), waylaid Arjun on the road, snatched his mobile phone and sped away.

Based on the complaint lodged by Arjun on July 1, Jayalakshmipuram Police have registered a case and are investigating.
