AIDSO demands pro-student budget

Mysore/Mysuru:  With Chief Minister Siddharamaiah scheduled to present the State Budget on July 7, the AIDSO (All India Democratic Students Organisation), has appealed the Government to present a pro-student  budget.

The AIDSO presented a memorandum in this regard to Deputy Commissioner Dr. K.V. Rajendra here yesterday.

Speaking on the occasion, AIDSO District Secretary Chandrakala said that the Budget should be responsive to the academic challenges that the State is facing. Demanding establishment of Government Engineering Colleges in all districts, she said the other demands include free bus pass, re- implementation of Vidyasiri student scholarship and more funds for the education sector in the budget.

Chandrakala also urged to relaunch distribution of cycles,  laptops and tabs to degree students, construction of more classrooms in Mysuru Maharani Government Arts and Science College and reconstruction of the collapsed chemistry Laboratory in the College.
