May 17, 2018

Mysuru: Alleging that VVPATs were hacked in Narasimharaja Constituency, SDPI staged a demo near the DC’s office here yesterday demanding that the elections be held on ballot papers.

Maintaining that the EVMs have been misused in the recently concluded elections, NR Constituency SDPI candidate Abdul Majeed said that he did not receive a single vote in a booth were the party has a strong hold. Accusing major political parties of indulging in irregularities in elections, Majeed urged the Election Commission to order recounting of votes in the Constituency.

Raising slogans, the SDPI activists alleged that zero votes was registered in a Polling Station where the party had a good presence of party activists and members. Alleging malfunctioning of the EVMs in the polls held on Saturday, they also claimed that EVMs and VVPATs were misused during counting of votes.
