Selected for Sir C.V. Raman Lifetime Achievement Award

Mysore/Mysuru: Dr. S. A. Mohan Krishna, Professor at Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering (VVCE), Mysuru, has been selected for the prestigious IRDP Sir C.V. Raman Lifetime International Achievement Award. 

This award, instituted by IRDP, Chennai, is given in recognition for his achievements in Teaching, Research and Publications. The award function will be held on Feb. 23 at Chennai. 

Dr. Mohan Krishna has published over 70 papers in peer reviewed international journals and presented papers at Qatar, Singapore and also in various parts of Karnataka. He is in the editorial and reviewer board for nearly 40 reputed refereed international journals. He has authored three books in Mechanical Engineering. 

He is a life member and member for Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), Institution of Engineers (IoE), Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) and Indian Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ISHRAE). He is also associated with Indian Cryogenic Council and Association of Ammonia Refrigeration. 

A recognised Observational Astronomer and a Science Writer, Dr. Mohan Krishna is associated with International Astronomical Union, Paris, Astronomical Society of India, Breakthrough Science Society, Karnataka Rajya Vignana Parishat (KRVP), Mysore Science Foundation, Indian Academy of Sciences, Materials Society, Combustion Society, Green Building Association, Bangalore Association of Science Education (BASE), Numismatics Society, Rotary International Foundation and many other Science Societies. 

He is the recipient of NIE Gold Medal, Dr. Raj Achievement Technology Award, Bharat Ratna Sir M. Visvesvaraya Achievement Award, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Achievement Award and Dr. S. Radhakrishnan Education Award by various prestigious and premier associations.
